Since 1991, the Fresno County Department of Public Health Black Infant Health (BIH) Program, one of 17 in California, has worked to decrease the infant mortality rate in Fresno County’s African-American community.
Goal: To increase your baby’s chances for a healthy start in life.Celebrate Healthy Babies:
Once a year, BIH hosts the “Celebrate Healthy Babies” event to honor African-American women who participate and graduate from the BIH Program, and to celebrate their babies’ first year of life.
